Co-founder and CEO of Databricks, the company that grew out of UC Berkeley's AMPLab and Apache Spark into the Lakehouse data-and-AI platform. Adjunct professor at Berkeley, where he worked on large-scale data processing and ML systems (Mesos, Spark). Under his leadership Databricks bought MosaicML, released the open DBRX model, and positioned itself as the enterprise layer where data and models meet.
