Computer graphics and vision researcher who earned a BS from Stanford (2015) and a PhD from UC Berkeley (2020) advised by Ren Ng. He was the lead author of the 2020 NeRF (Neural Radiance Fields) paper,which catalyzed the modern neural-rendering field and 3D reconstruction from images. From 2021 to 2023 he was a research scientist at Google,collaborating with Jonathan Barron on Mip-NeRF,Block-NeRF,DreamFusion and Zip-NeRF. In 2024 he co-founded World Labs,the spatial-intelligence company launched by Fei-Fei Li.
